Available Kittens -- Updated 8-4-08
General Info:
Kittens are well socialized: plenty of hands-on handling during that critical
period of 2-8 weeks, my kittens are all born and raised indoors in my home,
and not caged. Some kittens may be bottlefed.
Kittens come with a comprehensive health guarantee.
A deposit is required to hold
the kitten of your choice. I accept Paypal and all forms of checks for a
deposit. I will ship kittens, kittens must be at least 11 weeks to travel
by air.
Ask to see photos of prior kittens
from any of these mommas, to get an idea of what they may look like as
adults.
How are my kittens different
from others: My F2 kittens all have 1/4 maine coon. The maine coon breed
is large and mellow tempered (and the long hair gene is not expressed because
it is a recessive gene, all my cats and kittens are short haired.)
More about me: I am a dog
and cat veterinarian and quit working full time in order to be part of developing
this great breed, during kitten season I am home full time with the cats.
Savannahs do not differ in their veterinary or nutritional needs from
regular cats. So far, it doesn't appear that the Savannah breed is prone
to any particular health defects, it is a new breed and so time may find
some, most breeds have something. The concept of hybrid vigor is a nice
concept but by the time there is mostly domestic blood in the individuals,
it doesn't appear, at least to me, that they are less prone to health issues
than other cats.
Feel free
to write me and ask any questions at all on the Savannah cat in general
or my kittens in particular, whether or not you are interested in a kitten
at the time.
Human Kitten #1 -- announcing my very own litter.... Not for sale at this

F2 Savannah Kittens:
Born 6-12-08. Ready to go to new homes in late August.
This is a special B registered F2 litter with a little more than the
normal percent serval for F2s. Ansel is close to 6% serval, so combined
with Anna being 50% serval, these kittens have close to 28%. Tang is my
largest F1 and Ansel is no shrimp, I hope all of these kittens will turn
out nice and large. This is a first litter from Tang and Ansel. Tang has
been bred in the past to Cal a serengeti breed cat, her kittens with Cal came
out big and robust. Tang had "Cain" one of my two 26 pound F2 males I have
bred. And she and Cal have had the largest F2 female I have had, weighing
16 pounds at maturity. Most of her F2 boys (with Cal) weighed around 14-20
pounds at maturity.
There is one available boy and one available girl in this litter.

Tang's Boy "Moose"
Moose will be a heck of a big cat. He is charcoal colored like his mother
Tang. He purrs and enjoys being petted, his temperament is gentle and mellow
for a F2 savannah (mellow being a relative term as he is a rambunctious fun
loving boy). Moose has been bottlefed.
Tang's Charcoal Colored Girl
This black nosed girl is available to a breeding or pet home. She is so
dark! She will have a tall and elegant build, short tail, and big ears. She
is quite friendly with us, bounds over to see me. She has been bottlefed.
She would be a wonderful addition to a breeding home with the caveat that
whatever male she is bred to should have a clear coat -- she has wonderfully
dark spots but so many of them that bred to a ticked male she would produce
kittens with boring spots. If your B male is short, with big round eyes and
washed out boring brown spots she will rescue all those features in him and
more and make some wonderful F3C kittens. If he's better looking than that,
then her F3C kittens will be simply outstanding. If your B male is very ticked
then this is not the girl for him.
Below are also 3 photos of kittens born to Tang's full sister Anna and the
same sire, Ansel, all grown up. This girl (and Moose above also) may have
a similar body type as an adult.
Kanzis F2 litter (B registered: F1 female x AF5 male)
Born June 27. Ready for new homes in early or mid September.
Kanzi (click here
to my females page to see a photo of her) is my tallest F1 and she was
bred to a F5 Savannah Al (click here
to see Al), he is the heaviest and tallest of my 5 male cats (yes I know,
I have too many male cats, I just can't quite part with any of them). I expect
these kittens to have a good chance at being quite large as adults.
I will be looking in my poorly organized photo files for photos of older
kittens from last year's litter Pinky X Al. Quite related with the sire the
same and the mothers full sisters. Just ask if you'd like to see.
Kanzi's girl "Spotty"
This girl is torbie colored although from the sides it might be easy
to think of her as brown spotted. From head on one can see the big splash
of orange above one eye. With a solid build she should be a big girl. Her
coat is beautifully clear and contrasted. Her pricing will reflect her non-standard
coloring. She is being bottlefed and will have a friendly temperament.
Upcoming Litters:
Charcot (BF2) x a BF4 boy --- hoping for a fall litter
Soledad (BF3) x a BF4 boy --- hoping for a fall litter
The lower percentages look less like servals, here we see a F10 in
its natural habitat.
