"Pinky" -- Demdar Sinai -- F1 (50%)
Dam: Samantha (Maine Coon)
Sire: Kita (serval)
Date of Birth: April 2003
Pinky is named Pinky because when she was a baby I used hair bands to
tell the kittens apart, hers was pink. Pinky has a relaxed attitude but
doesn't like being carried around, heights scare her. Pinky has had a
little bit of a hard time with motherhood.... not in the way one would
think... Pinky has too much love to go around. Most F1 girls have small
litters, and Pinky is no exception... she tends to have one or two
kittens. But she has enough love and attentiveness to give 7. Her first
couple of litters I ended up having to take her babies away because she
spent so much time cleaning them they became raw. Recently I have found
that when she has some time outdoors every day she is more laid back
with her babies. Basically, Pinky is an over-achieving super-mom who
wants to be both a mother and a career minded individual.
Pinky has the distinction of being the mom of the largest F2 we have
had here, Silmaril, who is 26 pounds. Pinky herself weighs around 12
pounds.
